About Me
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
I’m a born and bred Londoner who has been lucky enough to have spent the last 21 years in my dream job, working full time, for the world renowned British Broadcasting Corporations (BBC), as a News Broadcast Journalist with a talent for spotting and creatively telling original stories, across Radio, TV and Online. This included , building social media strategies and digital reportage. I pride myself on being able to produce long-form documentaries as well as short-form news pieces, alone or as part of a team.
Over the two decades my roles have included: Presenter, Reporter, Producer, Studio Producer, Video Journalist, News Bulletin Reader and latterly as Digital Reporter/Multimedia Journalist. Armed with just my Smart phone, I simultaneously provided audio, video and script for BBC outlets including Radio, TV, the website and social media platforms. In addition to mainstream news stories I also specialised in assisting the BBC to diversify its output by locating stories for and about Black and minority ethnic communities.

Freelance: Multi Media Journalist, Lecturer, Media Trainer, Diversity in Media Consultant
In the midst of the pandemic I took a calculated plunge and decided to give up my comfortable job and go Freelance. The climate was changing and this felt like the right time to diversify and spread my wings, and it appears that I was part of an exodus of people going it alone and or changing careers, careers that require 'media' awareness and training. Increasingly many organisations have also come to realise that market forces mean they too need to include some form of audio/video to their communications, so much so, that I have found my skills in great demand.

Natural Hair Author & Blogger
Frustrated by the misinformation published about Natural Afro Hair on social media, I started writing a blog, providing factual information. I also became a regular speaker at live hair events up and down the UK. My blogging culminated in the publication of my book which is available in paperback and as an ebook on Amazon.
